Welcome to Skudeneshavn Museum, a cultural experience like no other.

Fishing, herring salting, trade, and seafaring are themes that have defined Skudeneshavn for nearly 200 years. At the Skudeneshavn Museum, you’ll get a unique glimpse into the home of a middle-class family and see what a store, a barbershop, a dentist’s office, and much more looked like 150 years ago.

Customized programs for domestic and international tourist groups

We have multilingual guides and can tailor experiences for different tourist groups. The museum welcomes over 100 buses a year carrying tourists from all over the world.

Old Skudeneshavn has also been awarded the Olavsrosa, a quality label granted to experiences of a particularly high standard in the fields of cultural history and public outreach.
